The Burmese Tee

In a show of support for our friends in Myanmar our PEACE in Burmese shirt.

On Feb. 1, 2020 Myanmar’s military seized power from the ruling Democratic party in a coup d’etat. Since then, bloody and brutal efforts to silence peaceful protestors have left thousands injured and as many as 500 dead. Television and internet access has been cut off in major cities, and at least 78 journalists have been detained. In March, remnants of the ousted Parliament, who consider themselves the legitimate government, said that a “revolution” was needed to save the country. In support of our friends in Myanmar, and to raise awareness for their fight for peace, we present our Burmese tee (pron. “Nyein-jan-yei”: peace).
